| Biography: The Us Electric are Colby Parson and Susan Morse. The project was started by Parson in the mid nineties. The duo's music is characteristically dark with songs primarily inspired by adverse psychological states. Their eclectic repertoire includes compositions exhibiting elements taken from a wide range of musical styles including: Industrial, EBM, IDM, Ambient, Experimental, Electroclash, and Darkwave. Our music has an experimental quality. Overall our sound varies from Electroclash to Industrial to Electronica with a Psychadelic influence. In 2001 The Us Electric released its first album "Recovery." The project goal was to incorporate some of the analogue sounds of the past with the newer sequencers and vocal processors in order to create a retro sounding album with a distinctly modern appeal. Although The US Electric was pleased with the results, they decided that no two projects undertaken by them should be the same. They quickly began developing new tracks, on which they employed advanced new equipment and software. "Alarm," the second Us Electric release was primarily written and recorded in the autumn of 2001. All aspects of the project, including the mixing and mastering, were overseen by Colby and Susan. Both members learned a great deal about music production during this project. Massive upgrades to equipment and software helped shape the soundscape of the production. In particular, softsynths like Propellerhead's Reason and Rebirth featured prominently. The vocals were heavily distorted or utilized a vocoder-like formant and pitch correction method. Unfortunately, the first pressing was poorly mastered in a hurried attempt at early release. It was remastered at Boiler Room Mastering by Collin Jordan. Collin was chosen because of his fantastic work with Skinny Puppy's Nivek "Ohgr" and other amazing EBM artists. The content of Alarm ranges in style from Electroclash and Experimental to Industrial. The Us Electric is planning to release its third project entitled, "Threshold" March, 2007. We have been influenced by a number of artists from a variety of genres.
